The Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS) and Tanzania Library Service Board (TLSB) have resolved to work in partnership in order to address squarely the issue of HIV/AIDS information provision and supply in the country. As an implementation of the above resolve, senior officials of TACAIDS and TLSB met from17 to 19 November 2009, in Dodoma to discuss and come out on the best way to cooperate. TACAIDS team was headed by Director of Advocacy, Mr G. Majengo and TLSB’s was headed by Director General, Dr Alli Mcharazo. All 19 regional librarians attended the meeting. The meeting was facilitated and moderated by Dr Evans Wema from University of Dar es Salaam. Some of the outcomes of this meeting are: development of formal partnership with TACAIDS and improved HIV/AIDS information services in public libraries
